Chito Appearance

Chito's appearance

Chito is a young girl with a plain face and large, black-colored eyes. She has black hair tied as twintails that falls down to her chest.

She wears a green military jacket, pants, and a brodie helmet, gloves, and brown boots.

Personality[]

Chito is literate and can read and write in Contemporary Kana. However, she can't read kanji or Latin alphabets, as they had become relics of the old world. She is generally calm and composed but can get angry at Yuuri on occasion. She possesses a love of books and attempts to collect books that she finds during traveling. Chito also keeps a journal to record her experiences but in the end, she burns it, along with the rest of the books she had collected up to that point, for warmth. She typically drives the Kettenkrad.

Compared to Yuuri, she is poor at shooting and doesn't carry a gun with her, stating that she has no need for one. However, Chito occasionally spots for Yuuri during target practice.

She experiences from acrophobia, the fear of heights. (also men stated in the end of volume 4)

History[]

Chito is shown to be sent away by her grandfather with Yuuri, presumably due to war, as shown in chapter hometown before the events of the series. Chito and Yuuri use a Kettenkrad to journey through each layer with minimal supplies, including an Arisaka Type 38, Chito's Journal, food, and their clothing. Her ability to read is matched by Yuuri's capability with firearms.

Trivia & Equipment[]

  • The scope that Chito is seen using multiple times throughout the series is a WWII German ZF41 scope.
  • The helmet that Chito is often seen wearing is a Brodie helmet.
  • The knife she carries is of German origin and would typically have been used for close combat.
  • Chito appears, along with Yuuri, in Tsukumizu's next manga Shimeji Simulation.
